Privacy
You don’t make an account here, and we keep your photos only as long as it takes to make and download your headshot.
Your photo and your headshots
- Your photo is stored privately, reachable only through the link in your own session. We delete it after 24 hours.
- Your headshots are stored the same way and deleted after 7 days, so you can come back to download them.
- To make a headshot, your photo is sent to our retouching provider, Black Forest Labs, which runs the FLUX image model. We send it with web search turned off.
- We never use your photos to train models, show them as examples, or sell or share them with anyone else.
The face check
After each headshot is made, we check that it still looks like you by comparing the face in the headshot with the face in your photo. This uses face-recognition software that turns each face into a list of numbers and compares the two lists. It runs on our server while your headshot is being made. The numbers are discarded as soon as the comparison is done, and are never stored, sold or used to identify you.
Because this measures your face, we ask you to agree to it before your first headshot is made, and we don’t make one without that. We keep a record that you agreed (the time and the wording you saw, linked to your photo’s reference, not to your name or face) for 5 years, then delete it.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe on its own checkout page. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us that a payment for your photo succeeded, and we keep that record for 7 days, alongside your headshots.
If you buy several photos at once, we keep a record of how many you bought and which photos have used it, under a random code saved in a cookie in your browser and shown to you as a link. It holds no name, email or photo, and is deleted 400 days after it was bought or last used.
Messages you send us
If you use the contact form, we keep your name, email and message so we can reply, and delete them after 180 days.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It sets cookies and receives your browser’s standard information, such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. It never receives your photos.
